Michelangelo Antonioni has made a fascinating film about a murder in the park based on a short story by Cortázar. The original title of the story is "La babas del diablo" (The Devil’s Drool in English). The story goes that the Italian filmmaker had the grass in the English park dyed during the filming of his "Blow-up", because it was not green enough for him. After the Paris story, Cortázar published his novel Hopscotch. In the introduction there is a mathematical key – the order in which the 155 chapters of the novel should be read.
